The gospel in brief

Jesus Christ is God the Son become man. He lived a sinless life in order to be a perfect substitute and sacrifice for our sins on the cross, where He shed His blood and died. Three days later God raised Him to life.

We are to believe God's word regarding its testimony of Jesus. By faith in Him, through grace, we receive Jesus' perfect righteousness, which is credited to our account.

God the Father declares that those who are in Christ are fully justified before Him, redeemed from sin and death, and reconciled to God forever.

Or more briefly...

The sinless Lord Jesus Christ, God the Son, has died on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sin.

We know God the Father has accepted this payment because He raised Jesus from the dead.

Jesus is the only Savior. Believe this and you will be saved from your sin. —Acts 4:12

Jesus said, "Whoever comes to Me I will never drive away." —John 6:37

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. —Romans 10:13
